Welcome to the Eric Lanherman personal page!

A new man was born in the free world. The first thing he said

"yeah, yeah, yeah ..." and he put his feet down! :)

2009

This page is not about balloons. I am planning to post  some information here about taking care of a baby. Yeah. I am a parent of a handsome boy. He is our third child. We spend good deal of our time trying to comfort him in the best possible ways. It seems to be a really hard task for a parent to find quick answers for many questions or just get someone undependable (not commercial) advice about products to use and so on. Please note: I am a parent-who just wants to express my parental opinion about those little things that have made my days or entirely messed it up.
Daddy.
Man, there is only one way you can provide care to your baby: love! Yes, love your woman. Can help but note, mommy loves the baby then she loves you. Accept it for your own sake.
Diapers.
We buy different brands diapers from www.diapers.com they have normal prices (look for coupons) and free shipping on orders over $50
ToysRus store has cool rewards program. You should buy the same brand name to get really all benefits out of this program (Look for coupons and wait for sale).
Breast feeding mom.
Mommy should get regular 8 hours of sleep (ha-ha-ha). Forget it! Baby eats every 3-4 hours. Eight hours of sleep is a sweet dream! Leave with your dream for the time you feed the baby. Your baby gets everything the mommy eats, drinks or inhales! It does include medications. By the way, Tylenol is not the best choice for breast feeding mommy with a fever.
Breast milk pump.
Medela brand makes reliable manual pumps. The price is affordable and service deserves 5 stars! Breast feeding moms can attend to a free educational classes at some hospitals (Roosevelt Hospital) in New York. It helps to save dads' time, money and keeps you out of trouble.
Feeding bottle.
We've tried different brands. To make a long story short: Eric loves the AVENT (philips) bottles.
Eric likes to do.
He likes to do everything that parents, brother, sister, our cat and dog do. And he like everything  that's new for him. Everything!
Schedule.
It is what the parents have to follow. The feeding, sleeping and games time is hard to keep up only the first week or two after you change it. Then Eric knows what and when to do. It makes our life much easier. Keep your child on schedule no matter what! The schedule depends on feeding. Feeding time has priority over the sleeping.
